I? have an Acer A500. I cracked the screen with my knee. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to find a legitimate website that sells screen but I will go with laptop screen.com. Thanks to you!! And I will most definitely be using your video to help me fix it. THANKS & GREAT JOB!!!!!

@eeebalaji? sounds like a new lcd screen should fix the problem.
I ran over my a500 in car, and the whole screen is all white, no crack in glass at all whatsoever.
i connected to tv and checked with multitouch app, touch screen is working neat through the length and width of screen.
so, if i just buy a screen for $60 and follow what you did will fix my problem?

I haven’t dismantled? a A100. I imagine it should be similar
excuse me, would this procedure work with the a100? tablet? i have the same problem, the cracked lcd but a healthy digiticer.

The constant? sliding of the unit on the table made me cringe constantly though.
@Deathbypapercut. I replaced the lcd which is behijnd the glass (touch digitizer). There is no hole? for the camera in the lcd. you might. be better of buying both. check out ebay. supplier : goodsupply0889

This replaces the black border and has a hole for the camera, right?
Just like the others, I only need the glass because mine is shattered, but still works fine (I’m using it now).
Should I just get the whole thing, or the glass only?? I know you aren’t an expert, but I don’t know anyone else to ask lol.

@Sacosta115 the front glass is separate from the lcd screen. I saw someone on ebay selling them individually . maybe that might be? your best bet. Sorry I’m not sure how to replace the glass. good luck
question. i just bought a A200 for $75 on eBay great condition dude only bought it 3 months ago, but the is one crack in the glass. the LCD is intact with the exception of the crack in the glass. would this procedure work the same. I found the replacement? LCD on that website but don’t know if the LCD and digitizer are one or are separate?

The 4 or 5 other videos & sites I’ve seen all take the whole back? assembly off.
is there? a way to lift the top cover up (e.g. digitizer) without having to remove the whole back assembly?
