Rechargables are no good as a falsh light bettery because they will discharge themselves even if you don’t use the light. The? chemical batteries will be good to go for years.

Not true, the test was EXACTLY the same conditions. Now if you meant comparing alkaline only, yes, because they are not alkaline.
That was not my? intent, it was to show best value and answer a question that I had. How good are these rechargeable as compared to standard alkaline. Hope this makes sense. ET
Well Rechargables aren’t 1.5 volts they’re 1.2 so they won’t last as long. btw I used E2 2450 Mah in my Wiimotes and they didn’t even come close to my 1900 Mah Sanyo eneloops.? which alot of people say they output close to 2300 Mah which is still less than my E2s. yet eneloops last about 10 hours longer the first 6 months and about 20 hours longer after that. because the E2 would start to go down hill thanks to my rapid 15 min charger which Energizer knew destroyed batteries but just didn’t care.
The test is flawed. The challenge was off set when the ENERGIZER RECHARGABLE was introduced with the COMMON batteries?

I found that Panasonic Alkaline Plus lasts almost as long as Energizers in my Mini Key Chain Mag Light and I can get 2 for a $1 at Dollar Tree. btw that Mini Mag Light Came in handy when I was in the Movie Theater and? they lost power Their Emergency Lighting was a Joke. so I was the only one out of the 200 people in just that Theater with a Flash Light. I kinda felt like a Hero keeping people from running into each other or knocking over small children…!

I had alkaline batteries in mine since last year and when I went to? use it I couldn’t even open the torch up the batteries had leaked and melted the aluminium pieces together!!!
if you go comping? you’d better use rechargeables of almost any brand not alkaline
they are only if you need batteries very seldom
they are like 5-10 times more expensive but can be charged up to 500-1000 times…
now think better what would more cost-effective?

Energizer rechargeable was the second flashlight to go off, so how is it the winner? The Energizer Max alkaline was the last flashlight to go off. Considering that you were using the Energizer Max why did you not compare this against the? Duracell Ultra?

duracell? might not last longer.. but it deffinately has the best commercials
