Desktop – September 2010

I wanted something jump out at me for my September desktop, but not too jarringly. I also changed up the positioning of the Geektool windows.

Applications include Shiftlt, Growl, You Control Tunes, Caffeine, Nocturne, InstantShot, Adium, Breakaway, JustNotes, Geektool and WhatPulse.
Icons are Kobhens. I got mine from a different site, so I can’t vouch for those…

458 Italia, right? You’ve got a great taste in wheels.
Yup, it’s the 458 Italia!
Looks great. Other than the Icons, what did you do to get your dock that way?
I was asked the same thing on another of my desktop pictures, so I’ll just repost it here.
There are a few ways of doing this. You should always make a back-up of your computer before doing any of them.
One way is to copy and paste the following Terminal line into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES; killall Dock
Then press enter.
Another way is to install the pref pane ‘Secrets’, and under the Top Secrets category, choose Dock Appearance.
Hope those work!
Thanks Ricecracker! I’m a bit wary of messing with the Terminal, so I’ll give the Secrets things a try.
That’s awesome man.
What fonts did you use on the numbers?
