When removing the keyboard, note that the cables are released by lifting up (like a hinge) the black bar that rests across the cable. Do not attempt to remove these clips, they are extremely difficult to put back together. Also note that NOT all of the cable releases are of that type. Other cables (to release the top cover & motherboard) simply pull out. Be careful? & be gentle. Take your time. Take pictures if necessary or jot down notes to refer to later when you reassemble… Good Luck!
How far into the disassembly must I go to replace the? RTC/cmos battery?
i recommend you buy a super thermal paste? like i did and follow this video step by step
then replace the paste on your cpu and your nvida card you will see it will be cooler even more than before

where are you located? i have a qosmio x505 q882 thats giving me? overheating issues, and I’d like for someone to have a look before the the summers.
