my dv9000 s/n cnf**** p/n:Ru***** has a blank screen and restarts? every min. could this fix it? or is it my mother board?

I purchased an infrared thermo. I don’t understand what happened. I didn’t get the temp up to 210. I did it twice and when I tried turning on? the laptop there were no lights showing. Did I toast the chip or is the issue the power jack board? :
Ok. Thanks. I will give it a shot. I think the bios are updated if I remember correctly. I’ve had this issue going on 2 years now. I have a feeling though that I will eventually be sending it in for? repairs but hey, who knows. Thanks for the feedback though. I will let you know how it goes.

hehe it works thank u my hp dv9000 works finaly… i put it to 196 celcius degrees for? 10 minutes and it works good

Its a guess at that point, and dangerous. When the solder starts to shine its ready but if you go over you will toast the chip.. I would get the gauge. or we can fix it for you.

wow thats odd, Re-seat everything, memory, HD, CD and battery and see if that helps.. The otherthing you might consider is to update to the latest bios.

I dont thing the CD / DVD drive not picking up is related to the virus. I think its a chipset issues that needs to be fixed,? I would also swap it with a CD you know works and see if that helps. If you need help with fixing that we can do it at the shop for you. Otherwise follow the directions in this video and It should snap back..

I need to do this so can you give me the list of things i need for this??? I live in Canada so i presume the number of things i need? can be bought from Canadian tire… if you know stores that carry the stuff I need please tell me.
I have also discovered that the CD rom drive will not read a disk along with one of the USB ports not recognizing anything? I plug into it.I ran a virus scan and found a trojan virus in the E: drive which if im correct is the recovery partition. I have not found a way to remove the virus other then purchaing the recovery disks from HP and flashing it but then again I run into the issue of the CD rom not working correctly. Any feed back will be muchly apprectiated. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
Hey Pete, I have an oddball? issue with my dv6700. Ive had this issue that you fixed in the video before. But now I have something new. If I press the power button, the light and screen light up like normal. But as soon as the hard drive spins up to boot, it instantly turns of like someone threw a switch. However, if I hold control alt delelte before it start to boot up, it powers on just fine.
