Had my E90 back from the dealers today.. They say it’s needing a new audio head unit..!! Priced? at 430 pounds sterling..!!
Anyway I’ve just seen a 2006 Honda Accord 2.2 i-cdti Exec now at a good price and reasonable mileage. I’m tempted..

spewin. Im driving a honda mate, theyre pretty good. If you wanna keep your 3 and all you need is a replacement radio unit get a? reputible car stereo mob to put one in. costs much less than 430 quid, which is around 1000 aus i suspect. the only thing it will do is log a permanent fault – No Communication with: Radio. Just make sure everything else in your MOST bus works after- bluetooth, screen if you have one etc

Currently? trying to source a secondhand unit from breakers or ebay… Should just be plug n play with all the functions working again inc reversing sensors n bluetooth without errors n stuff..

problem with that is it may? be vin coded, only working properly in the car it is assigned to.

ill try, ill give you the written directions for now. 1.wait till everything is cold, screw off coolant pressure cap and the bleed screw which is right next to it (bleed screw will also need replacing- one use only). 2.Take off the undertray (around? a dozen 8mm screws), then unscrew the radiator drain plug (blue) and pull one coolant hose off the gearbox fluid cooler. 3.Let it drain out, put everything back except the bleed screw and fill up (6L of 50/50 mix blue bmw ethane diol coolant) until

its full and starts coming out of the bleed screw hole. 4. Nip up the bleed screw and suck out around 400mL of coolant (i use one of those red hand suckers, but you could use a plastic sauce bottle), then screw on the pressure cap and youre done. i’ll try get? a vid up later mate

Managed to get a second hand stereo unit from a breakers down south who? specialize with BMW Merc vehicles.. Works great n just like new again.. No need for coding or anything just plug n play.. Thanks for the coolant advice.. Ill give it a go over the next few weeks.. Cheers…
