I got a new antenna and had to try it out. I’ve got everything running on a solar-charged battery for when the zombie apocalypse comes (you think the grid will stay up?) I’m going to see about hiking the kit (minus solar panel) up a mountain this weekend to get some contacts on HF.
I mean, what do you do on Friday nights?

How do you like the Buddipole? I’ve been thinking about picking one up for my desert trips.

I took it up the third flatiron yesterday and made contacts in 9 states including Washington and Pennsylvania – all on 5 watts on 20m!
