OK, thanks a lot! Then I’m going to do this…
Keep on the good? work you help a lot of people
Its not easily removed, try watching the ‘lumia 800 screen frame swap’ to see how to do it. I recommend spend a little extra and buy one with the? metal frame…
Hi
I consider buying a cracked N9 (otherwise full functionality). It seems screen replacement is not that big thing. The website I want to buy the screen says “Nokia N9 Complete Screen Assembly without iron stand”. I don’t? know exactly what is meant by “iron stand”. I think its that frame around the Display that holds it inside the case. Could this part easily be removed from the old screen and attached new one? Thanks a lot!
I’m not sure which is the wifi antenna, compare? both cases to make sure all the gold contacts are in the same place and the mainboard is making contact with them
hi. my wifi is? not working after i changed my N9′s housing. any idea?
If you? friend is good with ‘hot air’ soldering its not too hard
Your welcome, I’m glad it? helped
Is it hard to replace the sim card reader connector? My friend is good at? soldering.
A million thanks. With your guide, I changed my N9′s housing easily. And also I found that the front camera’s flat cable is not clipped properly? since last month I sent it into Nokia Care for repair service. Without your guide, I don’t even know which flat cables is used by front camera. Words can’t show how grateful I am to have viewed this video.
it all depends on which part of the mainboard is wet, if the battery is left connected for a few hours then it can? damage the copper circuits on the mainboard. There’s no easy way of telling what damage has been caused. You could try swinging it round in a sock to spin any water out of the phone and its certainly worth taking the screen and battery cover off and giving it a long hot blow dry with a hair drier
For the earpiece try searching ebay for 320977448410 . The usb data connections should be standard for micro usb ports. If you Google images for ‘micro usb pinout’ you’ll see a diagram for? the connections
great video man, very professional and helpful…my n9 got water damaged, i removed it from the water and took out the sim and opened USB cover, that’s all that i could do at the time, it wasn’t wet for long,i dried it as best i could…its in a bag of rice now but this is roughly 6 hours after the incident that i find this video, is it worth risking? a dismantle now? and do you think my phone could be ok? Nokia thinks so:
Hey there. Thanks for the tutorial. It helped reducing the amount of broken bits along the way.
Basically I tried to follow as close as I could because I need to replace my micro usb connector (the? trick one you mentioned). But as I tried to remove the cover of the headphone, it was glued and it got stuck in the cover and I couldn’t notice. Well, I broke it.
Two questions:
1) Do you know where I can find a replacement for that?
2) BTW, do you know what are the USB data connectors in the board?
Thanks man. I saved money for not? going to service
It just cost me few pound for the tools
really god video anyway. Good luck for further movies like this. Very professional.
okey really big thank
?
anymore than a few hours is enough to damage the mainboard beyond repair. The water reacts with the? voltage and eats away at the copper tracks. If the battery was removed early then you would probably still have a fully working phone. Try selling it on eBay, as water damaged phones seem to fetch good money
for 1? night
how long? was the battery connected after it got wet?
I have done that but I can’t switch it when I push on power? button theres nothing happens and when i connetc it start switching but for several seconds it switches off and starting switch again and finnaly it can’t switch till the end I see only nokia logo please help . thanks and sorry for disturb
Thanks!!!
?
take the battery out? asap and give it a good long and hot blow dry. If the battery is left in for a while it will eat the copper tracks inside and will be unrepairable
Hi I? have dropped nokia n9 into water it was working for 5 minutes and then it switched off and i can’t switch it please help me . thanks
0:12 ‘a? T5 torx star type screwdriver’

Just replaced? back cover and battery using your tutorial
