Not really. We’re reaching a point where even entry-level laptops can handle more than the average user throws at it. A high school student won’t use a laptop for more than a few essays. It’ll be roughly the same for a college student, plus maybe some graphing in excel or something. My 5 year old x61t does fine even by today’s standard.? A couple PowerPoints here, some Firefox tabs there.. Microsoft Journal in the forefront.. no problem. Games and media on the other hand require more power.

Funny thing about Lenovo.? Aside from the looks of the device, It is a very good laptop for the money if you are planning to use? that for work or a personal computer at home. A friend once told me that the best laptops? that lasts a long time are the ones you don’t hear too often on the media, Emachines, Toshibas, ect.

It’s really slow, like toaster slow after 4 months of using it. My school gave me the same one left it in my room for? 1 year without touching not worth it.

Huh? It hasn’t even been on the market for 6 months (let alone 1 year) and the reviewed model features Ivy Bridge CPU’s. How exactly could you have left it in? your room for 1 year without touching it and how exactly does it perform slowly?
