Please send me a message or check out www.FastVideoTech.com If you plan on working on your laptop, please take notes and take your time. This video makes things look very easy. Some connectors will fall apart easier than they will disconnect and can take several minutes to slowly work apart. It is VERY easy to break small components that are expensive to replace. Depending on your individual skill level you may have more of a chance breaking something than fixing something. If your laptop is important to you, please let an experienced technician handle it. I have over 10 years experience working with computers. I will try my best to answer questions but please keep them related to the video and the work being done. Thank you for watching! Hi, I dropped my? laptop and the charger port is messed… I’m a female, and really not good with technology and I’m scared I might mess up my laptop. Is there any way you could tell me a step-by-step to help me fix the problem? Thanks!
Thanks for this, i had the same? issue with my laptop and i was able to repair it myself!!

i am currently troubleshooting a Toshiba satellite l655 the was knocked out runin? dc only dead battery and now it only mes on for 5 seconds do u have any leads of what the problem could be i have rooted out the fact of it being the dc adapter the only things i could think of was a shock circuit on the board the CPU /GPU or the memory i have no ram sticks to test if it is bad and i am not convinced it is the bios was not being updated at the time please give some suggestions thankz in advance.
Thank you for this video. I bought a Toshiba and busted the screen in it 2 months later. I bought another one just like the first one, and I broke the charging pin in it. I finally swapped the charging pin out of the? first one and put it in the second one. It took awhile, but I would have never figured it out if I hadn’t found this video.
how much woud a repair cost??
I bought a new battery charger , cause the battery wouldn’t charge, some kids had plugged a boom box into the power supply so I thought they had burned out the power pack.
I got a new power supply , plugged it in and the icon on the screen showed a red x.
Now my battery is totally dead.
I took out the battery and plugged in the new charger, the green light on the charger lites up so I guess the? charger is ok , but the laptop will not turn on.
Does this sound like a jack problem ? Thanks
THANK? YOU!
@Filmaker25
No. I already made that mistake. Thank goodness I decided not to? pry the laptop open. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE KEYBOARD OFF TO DISCONNECT THE CABLES!
@isoccer123
You need to call the toshiba company and say you want to buy a dc power jack. They’ll ask you for your laptop part? number. This is located on the bottom of the laptop. Have your credit/debit card ready. (or whatever card you use to pay with). It’ll be $26 + shipping
Fuck this… I had enough problems fixing my keyboard. lol?
Ditto. The charger still works,? but even the slightest shift disconnects it.
yo my laptop was charging and fell off my bed and hit the charger and pushed charging bit? in how can i put it back to place??
Can this be? done for any Toshiba Laptop??
Thanks for this video! My Toshiba has been broken for 3 years and I never really felt like fixing? it! Was going to pay $200 just to fix this minor problem but I guess everyone else has the same problem with their dc connection. Seems easy to do myself.
Hey! Excellent video! where did you get the replacement cable,? I have done everything that you did here, and determined that the same cable you replaced here is faulty on my computer, just need to know where to get another! thanks.
