Yes you can. You? can open .pdf files with the Adobe Reader, from Google Play. You may be able to open word, and powerpoint documents, but the apps may cost a few dollars. You could also but a special pen.. maybe from amazon, that will work as a pen for the tablet.
You’re most probably asking? about the x86/x86-64 version of Win8, which won’t run on this.
i have never used android so forgive me for my ignorance but id like to get a tablet for school to? open pdf documents, use word and powerpoint. also, id like to be able to write on the screen with a pen-like device so i can have custom notes that are not typed(such as formulas and difficult things to do fast with a keyboard).it would also be great if i could rest my hand on the screen while writing with the pen and get no artifact. would i be able to do something like that with this device?

It’s true that apple has a much bigger store, but in reality, i hate 349000 of the 350000 or so apps. I hate flight control, retina display, well meh. That is better. I do loke flash though for youtube, but in order to address games on the app store. 4 words. PS1 and N64 Emulators. There are? better games on those systems than anywhere on the app store. Sure the graphics arent as good, but playing a game for graphics is like watching twilight for the plot. all the apps i want or need are covered

you don’t have the app store no final blade, no cut the rope, no flight control no anything and the apps u do have are just stretched out phone apps, you also don’t have the retina display and the android pads have flash which i don’t see the difference because i never can’t get on? a website or video
you obviously never used the first? transformer or the transformer prime.
I’m sorry bro. I’d rather pay a few hundred dollars for an android tablet and control what I pay for instead of paying a few hundred dollars for an ipad and have Apple control what I? do with it by limiting how I use it with much less useful features that all android tablets have.

It does suck for you though that your ipad can’t do half of what most android tablets can do. lol.? Even some of the modern android phones can do more then the ipad but on a much smaller screen.

Just to be clear: are you very sure that this is a true USB 2.0 port? My Transformer TF101 used the same cable, however the charging circuit is powered by 12V (not part of the USB standard) and the tablet will not charge from any? USB port except the charging unit. This was because the “USB” port had the usual 4-pin plug, but with an extra 5 pins. You can see these if you look closely into the male end of the connector or the female end on the charging unit.

what are tablets even good? for honestly besides games, web browsing and some silly apps.
seriously i would like everyone who reads this who owns a tablet of any sort to reply to me what you use it for. people make a big deal out of quad core processors but name ONE app thats not a game that actually utilizes all that power.
