All the bits are labelled with notes (hover over the photo)
Don’t think I can get much more gear without a new bag.
Not Pictured are the contents of the front pockets (memory cards, batteries, USB cables, earplugs, pens, business cards, sometimes chargers for cameras & laptop, remote shutter release, PClix)
Taken with my dad’s Olympus.
Water Drop Timing Electronics

I did kind of a lazy job on these setup shots, and wish they were better, but I wanted to post something about the setup. This is the behind the scenes electronics. I’m using an STM32 microcontroller to drive the timing, and the custom protoboad is just some MOSFETs and connectors to drive the output signals to the valve, camera, and flash. I’ve written the software so that an application on the laptop defines and triggers the firing sequence, so it is quick to edit delays, valve open times, etc. Also, I’ve been tethering my D90 using DCamCapture so that the photos are downloaded for preview right away. A 12V lead acid battery is used to power the solenoid valve.
My Timbuk2 and all the junk inside.

This is what I usually carry around with me on a daily basis. Sometimes the laptop is missing. Sometimes, my Powerbook G4 is there instead.

What check company issued the Peanuts checks? I need to reorder soon and would love to have something new to look at when I’m throwing my money away.
I really don’t know. I just went to my bank and looked at the book of checks and just picked that one. It took the printers three times to get it right, they printed the wrong address twice, third time they forgot to add the carbon copy.
Batfish, I’ve never asked you this before, but…what do you do?
Other than take pictures, I mean.
I suppose it depends on what day you ask me. I’ve had many different jobs, mostly all self-employed.
I’ve bought and sold classic American cars (Mustangs, Chargers etc.) I’ve dabbled in the horrible field of finding vintage (read: very expensive) watches for very crotchety old men.
My father and I have been flipping houses for years.
I also own a small computer repair shop.
I take pictures and surf the internet in my free time. Ahh free time, I use to have some of it.
I play Xbox 360 for about three minutes a day.
But today, I’d have to answer with " Baba and Diaper Changer"
