Android Quick Tip Extend your Battery Life by Changing your Wi-Fi Sleep Policy
Generally speaking, you don’t need to leave your Wi-Fi turned on when your screen is turned off, and Android has a settings area where you can set your Wi-Fi sleep time accordingly. It’s buried pretty deep in the settings, so some people may not even know it exists. To make sure your Wi-Fi radio is set how you want it (to maximize battery life, or to maximize convenience), watch the video to see what you need to do.

I tried this, but it doesn’t work. I set the wi-fi sleep for “15 min”. Then I go back to the home screen and turn it off. After 15 minutes I turn it on to check, the connection is still active and the settings are back on “never”. Why won’t? is stick?

Well, nice advice, but since I’m not from US where you obviously use wi-fi all the time, this does nothing for me actually. But I see how you? get great benefits of course. My advice would be to use less apps that scan or check “stuff” all the time, like anti-vir, some OC tools, social-net apps etc.
Maybe you could do an article like that
