Hard Drive Data Recovery with USB adapter

hey, I have a question – as soon as I connect my Drive to my computer a window pops up and says “you need to format the drive in disk F: before you can use it” However, I do not want to format it and erase all information. I? wish to recover the data stored on the drive. Your suggestion?

Does the hard drive have to be functional?? I cant boot my computer, but the hard drive can turn on. I’m pretty sure the arm is just busted

Damn it, I came here for the nunchucks….funny video.?
Right click your computer logo on desktop or in start menu, if you have windows. So right click computer select manage, and chose disc management in left pane, and see if the computer is reading the hard drive. if it shows up you may need to give it a drive letter, if it already has one see if it’s reading a correct format that your computer can read, anyways research? it don’t just ask, and expect to get an answer in less than three weeks.
