Whoops, looking at the EXIF it was the 850, I had an 800 a year ago and killed that one too.

I had looked at the 880, although there is now the 960 which may be somewhat smaller and have newer internals.

My 850 met its untimely end at 4:30 in the morning in Miami when a water bottle put in a bag with it had the cap come off. It was only a little bit of water, but it was apparently enough.

The real indicator of how much I dislike the Optio W30 is how long it's lasted me. Mini-cams I like tend to die in the line of duty, I budget for them expecting they'll maybe last two years before they're destroyed just from the natural abuse of being carried (without worry) everywhere.

There are also some new Samsung models that are interesting because they have more manual control. Ideally, I'd love to move up to something like the DP1 with a larger sensor if the price ever dropped far enough.

My SD800 is still going strong, now with an 8gb SDHC card in it. I understand the SD870 is the successor with the same wide-angle, but with an increase in megapixels that probably does nothing for real image quality.
