		<description><![CDATA[Yeah... You&#039;re compelled to watch.  We could easily feel the heat through the window. I have a thermometer right outside the window and I never thought to look at it while the fire was raging. 

It&#039;s about 150 feet from my house. This is just about how it looked to the naked eye, standing in my dining room. (Old formula from film days said 55mm = &quot;normal&quot; (naked eye) view. This was shot at 40mm so it&#039;s close to that.)

At first, I was so asleep the photos (like this one) didn&#039;t really turn out as well as they could have.

I gave a CD of the photos to the fire department people before they left the scene at 6am. They figured it&#039;d had ignited about an hour before they arrived, and probably started shortly before 2 am. 

One car in the garage was destroyed and at least 2 cars parked outside it are heavily damaged/burned; as well as the northwest side of the neighbor&#039;s garage (see lower photo), and there was heavy smoke inside that same neighbor&#039;s house.
