Top 10 HTC Desire Battery Life Increasing Tips [HD]
Here are my top 10 tips on making sure your HTC Desire/Nexus One battery lasts as long as possible. I can easily get a day and a half out of my Desire when applying these tips so hopefully you will be able to as well! Please comment or ask any questions below and please don’t forget to subscribe! 1) Use the Power Control Widget – the gives you quick access to all the power-draining features of your phone and allows you to turn them on and off at the press of a button. 2) Mobile Data Widget – Add this to one of your screens to enable you to turn the phone’s network data connection on and off. Keeping it off will drastically increase the life of your battery. Only turn it on if you are out of WiFi range and need to send/receive some data. Turning Mobile Data off does not effect being able to send/receive calls/texts. 3) On the Android Market, search for “2G 3G”. This free little widget allows you to jump to one of the settings screens on your phone with one click. From this place you can set your phone to work in just “2G” mode which increases the life of your battery. 4) Brightness – one of the obvious ones. The brighter your screen, the quicker your battery drains. You can use the Power Control widget to quickly switch between Low, Medium and High brightness levels. Keep it on Low to be most efficient. Medium is fine if you know you’ll be reunited with your charger at the end of the day and only use High brightness in very sunny places. 5) Live Wallpapers – As pretty as …

I got the official Jellybean update on my One X. Installed and factory reset my phone and installed all my apps back. Now I have Nova launcher + Juice defender on default mode + animations 0.5x. I’m 24 hours on battery and its showing 79% remaining. But through all 24 hours I totally had half an hour of actual phone usage, i.e phone? calls+email/sms checking+camera. Battery? drains almost 3% in 15 mins with phone usage but almost none on standby. I think its okay.

hi just checking. i have tesco pay as you go and i do not want any internet. only wifi. if i turn the mobile data toggle off, will it stay off even if i turn phone off and on again. data is a fortune? on this plan so i dont want ANYTHING to come through onto the phone. this includes weather. will this toggle switch (along with the sync switch on power bar) stop every bit of internet from incoming and outgoing? obviously i still want calls and texts.

better baterie life means using ur device on restirctions witch in my book shouldent be the reaosning for it if they can send curiosity to mars on a nuclear powered batterie that can last well beyond 2 years why the fuck does our baterues last less then a day ona tiny micro tablet when the curiosity has much more complex motors and stuff? its all about making paper bateries and charging you gold for paper

What you’re doing here, is calibrating the battery, you have either 6 or 9 cells in your battery, and you phone will attempt to fill them, but being that the device is software driven and has no real indication as to when the? battery is actually flat or full for that matter, it can slip, (i.e when it thinks its charged it’ll show 100% and might only be 64% full) So by Calibrating the battery we’re forcing the physical battery to be fully charged and resetting the phones perception.
Ok, so…. the PROPER WAY to save battery is to BREAK IN the battery and CALIBRATE IT…. this is how…
Charge the device whilst its ON over? night…
Unplug power cable, Turn the phone OFF.
Once OFF, reconnect charger and charge for 1 HOUR..
Turn phone ON, leave for 3 minutes…
Reconnect charger, charge for ONE MORE HOUR.
Then use as normal..

No,? it just turns off the mobile data. You might still be connected via HSPDA rather than GSM. It doesn’t affect Wifi no.

Thanks very much for this video. I just changed a few things on my HTC Desire Z as a result because the battery life is appalling. It frequently gets down to nothing by the end of the day. I saw there was once a bigger battery for the G1, which lasted two days, but it? made the phone look like it had a hunchback, so I didn’t bother with that.

cheers mate helped alot i think i overcharged my desire hd battery it was on my charger for a full week once since? then it’s been rubbish for the battery
