RcgroupsDOTcom as a bunch of sellers that modify computer PSUs to 24V/48Amps. It’s only 80 dollars from one of the seller. It’s PnP. A car battery can only supply 12V/<30 Amps, so you? can charge more batteries faster with a PSU
This Must be a new version

one thing you guys didnt say was you can only get the full wattage with a 24v PSU its limited to? 500watts on 12v
I am so new to the hobby that I havent even driven my E-maxx yet but I wanted to say thank you for all? the reviews. I relly enjoy the way you guys lay out your videos. I think the chemistry between you two makes for a nice, complete review. Keep it up.
I wanted to know what data is shown for a discharge? ? Avg Voltage?, resistance?
Also Can you calibrate the lipo end voltage?
Is a Ace? EDC-01 Peak Charger a good charger? Its priced at 50.00 and i was wondering if you know how long it would take to charge a 5000 nimh battery?
If you want a lifetime charger invest to it.
Best? charger
Excelent revew
The Powerlab 6 is also an amazing charger at 1000w and it’s cheaper. ? If you’re not charging huge packs it’s a good choice as well. I picked up one for my portable charge box.
Thanks for the review. Trying to figure? out how this works. Could you just hook that straight up to your car or the power supply is a must?
Isnt charging them that fast bad? Most? batteries reccomend a 1c charger rate (bout an hour), so im wondering if you guys have noticed an corelation between high charge rates like 5c+ and puffy cells or reduced ability to hold a charge
thank for the tip i would take your opinion to see what is around town?
this charger is overkill for your needs. see you local hobbyshop for a cheaper one. $50 will get you a decent one that will? also charge lipos.
i need? a charger for 118 rc i got 2/3A-cell NiMH pack 4 cell each 1400mah 1.2v = 4.8v need help
yea? an amazing charger
Sold!?
how about a video of? boost starting a car with a LiPo ?
Thanks for? checking us out! Tell your friends.
What your getting at is total WATTAGE. Wattage is the Voltage X Current (Amps). So lets say we have 2 power supplies that are both 10amps rated, one is 12v and on is 24v. The 12v X 10A gives us 120watts to charge with. The 24v X 10A gives us 240watts to play with. If we? are charging packs greater than 12v it is more efficient to have a higher voltage PS because the charger does not have to up-convert the voltage which has some losses.
lol ok well I? will make sure to watch out for that now!
first? time that I have strayed from Rcnightmare…….glad I did…appreciate your info…thanks
@rcflightschool
So I was saying..
In order to FULLY utilize this charger’s 1300watts, do you need a 24v PSU?
Also, what difference does 12v? vs 24v PSU make?
Is there a difference between charging a 6S Lipo @ 1C rate with 12v vs 24v ?
Thansk.
Hopefully, you can do some PSU reviews and such.
Ever had your hand in a $5 one from hobbypartz? cuz that is what you get when you buy that one. If you ask they will rma it for you but I got it for free with a coupon so I will buy a nicer bag? if I ever get more than 1 lipo.
