Wow!! Is there a video on? how to put it all back together?!!
Took 90 minutes, but following this tutorial worked perfectly.? The OEM fan was removed, $7 replacement fan installed, laptop is now silent. TY!
I don’t, but? it is on the bottom of the motherboard. You will be able to find the motherboard video here. watch?v=mBDNykXPK6w
Do you have a? video about how to replace the coin battery (CMOS)?
If? the fan is making noise, like a rattling or ticking, when it is turned on, the fan will probably need to be replaced.
Yeah, I don’t have the videos for the 1520/1521 yet but they? are really similar.
Great video, but I have the 1521 would replacing the CPU cooling fan be the same procedure? I did not see a video specific to the 1521. I can’t believe there would be a whole lot of difference between the 1521 cooling fan and the 1525/1526 cooling fans or the procedures to replacing the cooling fan.
?
It sounds like the bearings are going? out on the fan. Replace the fan and it should be fine.
and my dads laptop (1525 inspiron) is doing the bios built in test’s and so far has no? error’s :S but the fan is grinding like hell…any tips?
my dads laptop (dell inspiron? 1525 with windows vista) its fan is constantly running at medium to max RPM’s its so annoying >_< and i think the fan may be dieing because now the fan is “grinding” ALOT and i may put some new thermal paste on but not to sure cause of the stupid x-clamps (i have a xbox 360 pro and elite the pro RROD’ed and i had to fix it and take of the damn x clamps and put them back on which is a pain in the ass) so do you think the bearings are going bad? :S i havea 6400 dell

You? may just? have some loose connection. I would recommend re seating all of your connection to see if that would solve the problem.
Please help! After putting everything back together my display stays? black upon boot and the power/media keys do not light up!!
Thank you so much for posting this. Absolutely brilliant. Replaced my fan,? no problem. Now it works like a dream. Cheers!!!
There will be a clip? on the connecter that will slide out just a little, then the cable will slide completely out. Please note that the clip will not slide out completely, just enough so that the cable may be removed.
i can’t figure out how to unplug the cable? wire that goes to the power button cover. can someone please let me know? i can’t tell from the video. thanks!
Thank? you!
