this is about a year later but is the? chrome book now able to run Skype efficiently and has it fixed all of its minor bugs? lastly is the Webcam able to support all Skype and everything? Thanks and great review
My chrome battery won’t charge,and it won’t start up at all. Does anyone else have the same problem after using after awhile,all it shows is a black screen. I also tried taking out the battery and putting back? by pressing the tiny button in back,the battery didn’t pop up.I have a Samsung Series 5 Chromebook. The battery light won’t even flash anymore,when I plug in the charger.

Don’t waste your money on a chromebook. It’s? just an internet browser for the price of a computer. If you are gonna buy a computer at least get a real computer like a PC or a Mac.

Even though Chromebooks will probably fail, what Google did? here was revolutionary… It shows using only the Internet for computing and storage instead of desktops and HDD’s can be done quite efficiently. Make no mistake, there will be better forms of this computing and this will be the future, but ppl just arent ready to break away from desktops and internal storage yet. Now if Google did this a few years from now and worked more on the problems CB’s have, chrome OS would be the next big thing

A chromebook isnt a device that will compete against? laptops, their purpose is to compete against other mobile devices such as tablets or netbooks,beating tablets when we talk about connectivity
And notebooks at loading time and performance (idk about you but a minute’s difference at initiating sometimes its crucial)

dude, starting up is the least of my concerns. i want a laptop, not a browser with fancy? apps.
that loads faster than any other netbook using windows 7 or XP, also including 3G connection and a longer battery duration (I’ve got one…and the major disadvantage of it is the HDD space, you have to download everything from the cloud and it results expensive with 3G? connections)
