Here is a quick review of a new sandy bridge CPU i5 equipped ThinkPad t420s. For a T series, this is a thin laptop that boats all the horsepower you need. The Intel HD3000 display driver exactly isn’t your gaming GPU of choice but you don’t buy a ThinkPad for gaming anyway.

Maybe for their business computers and cheap baseline models. Otherwise Dell’s are very reliable and last forever…. There is a common problem of batteries dying because people misuse them. You aren’t? supposed to always keep them plugged in while fully charged, which almost everyone does do.

thanks for the video. just got? mine in today (ThinkPad T420 4177-RVU) and paid over $1k for i5 4GB RAM 320BG. Although the picture showed finger print feature I ordered but the actual one does not have it. Is that a big deal? I called the customer service and they recommend for me to send back but I cannot do without a computer with school and all.
which one would u prefer for CAD/3dMAX programs – t40 or t40s (are there any differences except dimensions and 6/9? cell battery?)
Would u recommend flash instead HDD drive? (is it worth its price assuming its for graphics and CAD)
i have my old IBM r40e (1.4 pentium cpu, 512 ddr ram, 20gb hdd, 16mb ATI gpu) made back in 2000 with original battery (came up? with the laptop) that even today holds about 1:40 h, thats what i call quality. now im posting this comment form thinkpad T60, i love them :3
Nope another ThinkPad would be fine 2 years out of a battery isn’t great but its ok… Just order? another the battery on an Acer I bought (horrid mistake) didn’t hold a decent charge out of the box… They luckily sent me another but after really no use at all the battery won’t even charge… Just buy another ThinkPad.

my t400 battery is near dead after 2 years. cant keep the laptop on for more than a minute. what makes their slightly newer versions so much better? dell latitude comes with free 3 year warranty and this come with 1 and bit better hardware. also this? is business laptop so i think the hardware is meant to be outdated for business computer. also from a buyer’s point of view, this laptop doesnt offer a significant advantage from the dell latitude which supposedly is its competition
Depends on what you call gaming. TF2 and minecraft, no problem. Crysis? Not so much.. it’s not really built for gaming, so only older games will work well enough to? be enjoyable.
how much this laptop in europe?
i bought this set. I was so pissed for not? having HDMI port and battery is barely 3.25 hours. Everything else is fine. It is very sturdy
Is useful have the finger print option??? i just bought one? T420 recently and i miss to add this option. I thought it was on default, now is seperate as a extra part..

you cannot really play games with that laptop… it has intel hd 3000 graphics which ist enough to run diablo III on low settings and minor other games such as browser games or? older games like warcraft III, age of empires II and perhaps starcraft on low settings with lags when it comes to heavy fights with many units… your choice…
