My MacBook Pro 15.4″ is only a couple years old [came? with Snow Leopard] and had 4GB RAM. I upgraded to 8GB RAM and enabled 64-bit processing. There’s a couple of identification differences, one is the newer does not have the lid latch, one is that the CD/DVD slot is on the right edge and the third is that the back is a single solid piece of metal with 10 screws and has to be removed to access the RAM sockets.
Parece fácil.?
Does it have to? be a DDR 1 or 2 ram?
Good? job guys!
what if you cant get one of? the screws out? Successful on two… ;] don’t want to strip the little screw… help
Piece? of cake! Thanks!
it just like window.. (i have both? mac and window)
I believe that particular MacBook Pro has a 32-bit system. Therefore, it won’t be able to support more than 4GB of RAM. If it were a 64-bit system, it would be a different story. ?
you might want to check how much ram your macbook can take. The program require more ram than your computer has. And if your macbook cant support the amount of ram the program requires than the program will not run on your macbook. TRY? Very helpful. I have macbook pro intel core duo from 07. Snow Leopard. I used Aimersoft dvd creator a few times successfully, and now it crashes my computer. Shuts it completely off. I was told my computer can’t handle it. Why would it be fine the first few times then? I was thinking of upgrading the RAM to help with the processing speed so it won’t crash. Think that will fix? it? If it has 2g (stock) now, can I put in 2 – 2G cards and have 4G total? I’m such a newbie to this stuff.
Where u? get the battery’s
Did you check how much RAM your system can handle? Go to Edge’s? memory configurator to see.
Check Edge’s memory configurator. It should tell you? how much RAM your system supports.
Is it working now? I’m not sure but changing the RAM memory shouldn’t affect much, if I’m not wrong the operative systems of nowadays allow RAM memory expansion without the need to re-install? the OS. Maybe your RAM was defective?
Mine? is from 2006, i tried to put 4gb to my mac and when i installed the memory ram my screen of my mac become black,,, :/
Yeah 8gb is compatible?
I HAVE A QUESTION, I HAVE THE SAME MACBOOK PRO, CAN I INSTALL 2 memory ram of 4gb? (total 8gb) is compatible? or not
Thanks Drew! You saved me? $40.
Touching an isolated metal door handle in? a wooden door will not necessarily discharge your static as by definition that handle is not earthed.
i think i may have just fucked my computer. i pulled my ram out to see what kind of ram it is, because im thinking of purchasing another. i pulled it out like the videos show,? with rubber gloves on to avoid static , checked the ram and put it back in… now the light is flashing on the front of my computer… wtf man? what the fuck…..
What you do is put your fingers on the two metal tabs on each side and push them away from the memory. Then the memory will pop up at a 45 degree angle? and you pull them out at that angle gently. Hope I helped. There are plenty of videos showing it just in case.
how? would i do this on a 13 inch unibody?
Can I go higher than 4? GB?
What is the? max memory for this MBP?
6gb possible?
i have a macbook with 2gb i wanne replace it with 4 gb may i use evry mark ?
