for things like browsing the web and stuff its pretty quiet, though.

I wont be buying an intel mac untill I absolutely have to, I just dont have the money right now.

Apple changed the temp that the fan kicks on and lowered to a range that the fan almost will always come on. They were worried about getting sued over burnt legs and palms i guess.

I’ve got a 15" 1.5Ghz machine and the fan hardly comes on, even when I’ve got it plugged in and it does get warm.

Think of it this way; Your next upgrade cycle in two years will see an Intel chip running faster and cooler in a PB.
