Mares Nemo Excel Dive Computer Review
This is the review of the Mares Nemo Excel Dive Computer. Sorry if my sleepy voice or my accent gets in the way (this was my first review ever, and was recorded a little past 1 am). The Nemo Excel is a wrist type computer that works as a full dive computer in a wrist watch package. Thanks…

Nice video! What is the small button on the? right side of the computer? Can I reset previous dives? Thank you
how do you? transfer the data to the PC
Thanks!?
I thought I had answer but it seems my post from my mobile (Opera? on Android) did not go through. To try to answer your question correctly, once you have finished the dive the watch will show your surface interval – it does not show how long YOU WILL HAVE to stay, but instead, it will calculate all subsequent dives based on the time you have been on the surface (just like other dive watches I’ve used). It will ever show the Desat Time and the No-Fly time.
the Desaturation? time is (theoretically) the time you will need to purge any gas accumulated in your tissues… so, if you are diving within the limits or recreational diving it will allow you to do repetitive dives in one single day – you just have to remember to follow simple rules:
1. Do your deepest dive first and go progressively shallower
2. Plan your dive ahead of time
3. Know your NDL and stay conservatively within it
4. Be safe – No watch is fail safe so know your #s
Hello again !! thanks for the review . a major question which will determine if i ll buy the? watch or not . Does it have time that you have to stay on surface ? Surface interval ?
thanks
Greetings from Greece
I bought the Nemo Excel and it’s a very? nice watch/divecomputer!
thats very good question
? you can’t replace battery on D4
great? video!
I? love the way the Nemo looks in the wrist, and my wrist is not in the thick side, and still looks nice. It is a solid piece of diving gear, that I can tell you.
Hi. Thanks for watching. Actually, the Nemo Excel, as other computers that are also designed to be wrist watches turn themselves off automatically from Dive Mode when out of? the water. Nevertheless, they still work in Watch Mode/Desat Mode. The Nemo Excel has a function that allows you to turn everything off (the display at least) when not in using, saving battery. I actually have a Seiko Diver Watch that I use normally, and switch to the Nemo when teaching Diving Students.
Hi
Thanks for review. Now I’m trying to chose between this and oceanic geo 2. One more question if I leave it as a normal watch all the time does it go to sleep? It looked like you needed to press something to get time displayed. Is it true that in time mode the computer is in sleep mode but time is always displayed?
Thank you? very much.
My guestimation is that? it would last as long as a normal watch. A couple of years, maybe?
Do? you think , if i use it as a regular watch, everyday, batery would last for how long?
(dont worry about answer, i kow its only a guess).
thanks.
Thanks! Happy diving for you? too.
Thanks for the nice review… But dude, you just made me buy that thing… shame on you
btw – what accent and what sleepy voice?
To keep the Mares claim in mind: Just add water.
See you deep? down below!
that was an estimate for battery? life… that is an average if you keep it on all the time, but the computer has an “off” or “sleep” function. I recognize that might greatly increase battery life. Mares makes usually pretty sturdy pieces of equipment, and this computer is all? made of polished steel — and should outlast pretty much any other computer in the market…
ok, no prob. I have the computer and I totally? like it! very nice and easy computer!
Yep, there is illumination, pretty decent actually. Sorry for the late reply by the way…?
You said that this computer will last 170 dives. Are you referring to battery life or are you referring? to other components within the watch ( i.e. the watch as a whole)?
thanks? for your review!!
really? why? grtz?
)
A suunto? D4 !
is there a? display light? illumination?
what should I buy ? the mares Nemo Excel or? Suunto D4??
