Hi, thank you so much for this video however, after replacing my screen the three buttons on the bottom dont work? (the back button, the windows button and the search button) do you know why this is?
thank’s for your reply, I have fixed the issue with not being apple to click the settings icon, no matter how hard i tried to click it,? it wouldn’t , i deleted the app which was underneath and for some reason it now works :S the home and and back touch buttons are becoming more responsive now the more I use them , very strange ! lol
It sounds like your unlucky? enough to have a faulty new screen, the seller should be happy to exchange it
thanks for the vid, it helped , replacement screen works fine but i have an issue with the? back and home buttons not being very responsive at times and not being able to get to the settings menu as it either wont press or it will just hit photos or a different app, has anybody else experienced a similar problem?
Its £33 from etradesupply, com and use? coupon code LE55 for a discount. It comes with the frame so there’s not much? work to do, just swap the proximity sensor over and your done
hello, my mother-in-law has broken the screen to? her nokia lumia 800…
Please have you any ideas on the cost in GBP how much this screen replacement will cost?
The problem is with the proximity sensor not the screen. The reason it goes blank during a call is because the sensor is not pushed fully against the screen from inside. Try watching my ‘screen frame exchange’ video and you’ll see where the sensor is located ?
Hi, you are great!
I accidentally dropped my phone and the case is a bit dented? on the edge right where you insert the sim card. Also the screen was a bit detatched from the case.I managed to push it back in and it’s working fine. The only problem si when I try to give calls. I can press call but then the screen goes black. I can still hear, talk and receive calls. As soon as the call ends I get back to the home screen. The rest works perfectly. Do you think I need to change the hole screen?
From what I’ve seen of another video the 822 is more like the? 820 in design, I have an 820 with a broken digitizer and hope to make a video soon…
I was going to try and save my 822, the 800 is pretty similar? I had an issue where the screen cracked and? was usable, and suffered another fall and the screen went blank, with some light showing through in spots..
Hi, thank you very much for this great video. I could replace the display without any problems and have saved a lot? of money. Would be great if you could do such a video for a Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro
Greetings from germany
You will probably find a new screen will fix your problem as the phone doesn’t like booting with a damaged screen. You could try using a mains usb? charger if the battery has been very flat as a computer usb is not always enough to boot
Hi! I dropped? my lumia 800, and after that it doesnt start up, but when I connect to charger it vibrates every half minute or so, any ideas what could cause that? Can it be screen fault?
