Didn’t slide the HD into? the slot properly.. same happened here!
Dude, the video is just fine, I did all the shit he shows, few minutes ago, and all went smooth. Maybe you forgot? to plug in some wires?
Thank? You my friend!
thanks to your video now my? computer says operating system not found!
i have sony VGN-SR13GN. the fan i think is already full of? dust. How do i clean it?
Did you actually? REPLACE the fan? If so, then is there a particular model number fan you would recommend?
Thanks? for video

i have the same laptop n i was wondering if? it wud be possible to change the gpu with a newer one. there s a nvidia 9300M GS n id like to use at least the 9600. is it possible or the graphic unit is linked to the motherboard? thx
A bit of thermal? paste overkill there, maybe?
New sony models are prone to hardware failures. My new computer broke donwn after two hour purchaise and have? experience three harware failure ever since. This “new” computer have been in and out Sony service totall nine weeks now and still have not get it back. I have been told? by service that these new Sony Models have massive problems with hardware and often broke down in two month of purchaise
Hear that it could also be my video card or graphics card, I forgot what the post said. And also everytime you remove a fan/heatsink is it a MUST to apply a new droplet of thermal paste?… With your experience I hope you could diagnose my problem and explain how it is shutting down because I find it hard to believe its overheating, (unless coretemp? is giving inaccurate temperatures) is it the temperature of my Cores, or my cpu / processor that causes shut downs? Sorry im a newbie. Thanks.
My sony vaio f series has been shutting down unexpectedly, so I at first I expect it to be overheating? but I use a program called “Coretemp” to monitor the cores, and only 2 of them peaked at 61c, which is no where near how hot it used to maintain without shutting down unexpectedly (95c, and its a full shutdown, no blue screen) I need help on how to clean out the fan, would this process of the video be the same way to reach my fan on my sony F series? And also, if the fan isnt the problem
what about horizontal? lines at the bottom is it lcd that need replacement? or something else
external monitor is fine…thanks
The Sony tech guy came to replace the? fan on my vaio and now it doesn’t turn on at all! What a great service
eBay is one of the? best. I got my replacement power cable for $5.
Thermal paste to help with the cooling process.? You can get a tube of it at your local radio shack for about $4.
To everyone using the CS series(VGN-CSXXX) visit the nearest Sony SVC Center, it is free coz it has a worldwide recall, along w/ the LCD when you notice it has developing lines on the lower part or it is Flickering they as well replace it for free except VGN-CS1XXX series, Just curious buddy how? did you remove the DVD Drive w/ out disconnecting the Flex cable from the mother Board? , it’s like a magic to me…..u’r so helpfull….
…?
Could someone tell me what the white stuff added to the fan component? after cleaning is?
tell me a good store or website to order laptops internal parts
?
Well, if you’re going to format the hard drive, you must not be worried about re-installing windows, so you WILL need a boot disk of some description. I’d recommend? trying Ubuntu, because it’s got a similar UI to Windows in some respect, and like most linux-based OS’s, it’s completely free.
THANK YOU SO? MUCH!!!!
THIS VIDEO HELPED ME OUT SO MUCH! I ordered the new fan off ebay. So this saved me a shit ton of money for what stores charge. WAS SUPER EASY!
And the entire process worked for my gf’s “Sony Vaio VGN-CS204j” perfectly. Everything was exactly how u did here in this video.
