Only a few cons about this laptop imo
1.no? gpu switching(dont need optimus, but switching would be nice
2.no backlit keyboard
Fortunately the sucessor to this model(clevo p150em) will feature these
and ivy bridge
this? with, hd 6990m, 2670m, or alienware m17x r3 same specks?
this or? asus g74? danm..
Great review. Thanks for showing the underside with? the panels off. It annoys me that many reviews leave that stuff out. How is the fan noise on this compared to other similarly spec’ed machines? I expect loud given the size but does it get so loud that it drowns out the speakers? I’m guessing it is quieter when surfing/doing light tasks as opposed to full powered gaming.
- Thanks for the feedback! And glad we were able to properly assist you with your ASUS purchase! – The build quality on this machine is excellent! Sager is definitely known for rugged gaming rigs…hope that? helps
How is the build quality (monitor hinges) ? How is the speaker quality? It doesn’t look very nice compared to an asus or and msi.? I actually purchased an asus from you and the customer service is excellent!!!
- Right now, Sager offers a 6990m GPU upgrade option on the NP8150, but product? options, upgrades, and base configurations are constantly changing from the manufacturer to stay competitive with other gaming manufacturers, so for the most current options, it’s best to check the product on our website – xoticpc.com/sager-np8150-clevo-p150hm-p-2972.html – or speak with one of our sales associates directly: sales[at]xoticpc.com — hope that helps
what? benchmark system are you using in this video?
What do you think would be better for gaming+networking, system admin, and computer security?
2.2ghz 6MB L3 cache, or 2.5ghz 3MB? L3 Cache??
Would be playing skyrim maybe bf 3, and I’d be doing the networking system admin stuff I just said.
the speakers are loud and high quality?
Can you do a review on the? 5160 or 5165?
thank you
?
Fantastic review? kind sir.
probably go with the 5165, it has better Graphics Card
but for about $100 more you? can get the 8130, which is the most popular laptop Sager makes for gamng
should i get the 5160? or 5165 to play games such as bf3 and call of duty mostly?
Well, I didn’t play for too? long with it directly on my lap, maybe for 1-2 hours, but it doesn’t get hot really. I’m playing Skyrim right now with near maxed settings and the the max temperature I’m getting is 63 Celsius. This thing is a beast. And I took the 95% Color Gamut Glossy Screen, I’m in love with it
If you do decide on this laptop, buy it from Malibal. Cheaper & better warranty. Let me know if you’ve got anymore questions!
that’s what I wanted to know. I’m in a doubt with 2 notebooks this Sager and the Acer 4830TG. The acer is 14″ LED 1366×766 with a 540m geforce but because of? the low resolution it’s not a problem for most games. It’s 1kg less heavier and I bet you can use it on your lap without fan table or something. It’s much more portable. Can you tell me how’s the experience of having this Sarge notebook direct on your lap?
Well, I’m not talking about this video, I have? the notebook and I’m talking about my personal experience. Only in quiet scenes/areas I can hear the fans of the laptop. And I have used it on my lap using one of those cushioned lap desks, it’s not bad.
I can hear the fan the entire video. Are you deaf?
This is a beast notebook,? I agree but not to be used on your lap or quiet and not mobile at all. This is a desktop that can fit in a bag.
Oh something important I should note. When it’s running on battery, it’s automatically switched to power save mode. So you won’t be able to play demanding games if it’s running off battery. Not? a big issue for me, though. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions!
No noise problems, it’s fairly quiet even when gaming. I have the 560M card, but my GPU NEVER went beyond 66 degrees celsius even with max game settings for various games (awesome!). Battery when surfing lasts 3-4 hours, gaming? about 1 to 1.5 hours. The weight is like 6.8 pounds, not too heavy. You will not be disappointed with this laptop, even with the 560M it crushes everything I throw at it
yes
?
I am very interested in this laptop, and have a few questions that I hope you can answer:
How bad/good are the noise emissions?
How hot does it get? if I where to use a 580m GPU, with a 2820QM CPU(max temps)?
How long does the battery last browsing the internet, while gaming, on load, etc.
How much does it weigh?
Please answer these questions, as they are very important. I am looking for an extremely powerful laptop, that it also portable that I can take to school. Thanks!!
How can one know? that you just weren’t trying to be one now? You see you just contradicted yourself.
i took that huge amount of time and effort? in replying a comment just because i hate thumb whores
