Hey Marshall which one has better throw, the Spark ST6-360CW XP-G R5 Cool White 360 Lumen Headlamp or Spark ST6-500CW XM-L T6 Cool White 500 Lumen Headlamp the? reason i ask is they both come with a diffuser so the one with better throw can function as 2 uses, throw or with frosted lens, flood beam.

This headlamp is awesome. I recently purchased the ST6-500CW from the crew at GoingGear and removed the strap and mounted the headlamp on my MTB helmet with a couple zip ties. I have combined this light with? the Olight M30 Triton that I mounted on my handle bars. The combination is fantastic for night rides! The headlamp makes everything in close proximity light up very well using the diffuser and the 770 lumen Olight shines well down the trail. Awesome combination for night rides! Thanks!

I know what you mean about the ST-6. I have the NW version and fell in love with the fact that I can work on cars and other things with both my hands. I've got no complaint? about it. Very versatile light with good amount of lighting. 18650's are the best you can go without over-doing its weight for the run times. My only complaint is that the low mode is a bit too bright for that bump in the night or late-night bathroom breaks...

How does the ST6 with a diffuser compare to the SD6 floody? I've watched both videos and it sure looks like the ST6 with a diffuser just beats the pants off the SD6, which was barely able to illuminate the tree 15 feet away.
Primary use for the light will be competitive mountain trail running. I need a light that doesn't have a hotspot and that does? an excellent job illuminating a gnarly trail I will be bombing down. I'm concerned SD6 will be too weak and ST6 will rotate. Any input?

I haven't heard of any issues with any of the models rotating. Yeah, the ST6 will have more distance than the SD6, but it will still have a bit of a? hotspot that transitions to spill since it does have a reflector behind the frosted lens.
