Dear, I’m from Brazil and I’m looking for a? green and UV led for newst XL-50. Does it exists? Where can I find it? Thanks
I;ve owned three of these already (lost two). Great lights and very efficient with batteries. They have come out with a 170 lumen version but it isnt as easy on batteries. Plus I have never felt I needed more lumens, actually I usually use mine? in the lower power setting to save batteries. I have owned other flashlights but this one is the best so far for reliability and build quality. Although they arent perfect. I have had problems with the power switch shorting out. But im rough on a flashli
I’ve heard that firearm mounted XL50s will sometimes turn off, due to weapon recoil. I guess the button might? be bouncing..
I really like the XL50 but don’t like mine rolling when I put on a table etc.
Since it’s larger (1″ OD) than my skinny AA Maglite it’s harder to hold left-handed if you have a pistol in your right hand.
To make it easier, I installed a 1″ ID finger ring. So the light can be held like a syringe. Video search for aza0C5Tn6Oc in the box above.
I’m thinking about one of these to mount to? my shotgun. Do you recomend this?
I have had one for some time, and carry it in my Fanny pack along with my .38. The only problem noted is that the button will come on by itself from getting bumped while in the pack. I really would prefer a twist-on rather than a push-on. I now use a soda bottle cap to slip over the end to prevent accidental turn-ons. Other than that problem, it is? one fantastic light.
Nice i have? one to B-)
My $8.00 Energizer “Pen” Flashlight I had been using at work for 10 months died on me today. Never sleep with that in your pocket, the? plastic threads on the cap will crack. Picked up the XL 50 with the 104 Lumen version. Supposedly they have upgraded these to a higher lumen though the 104 was all they had. I was so surprised to see you reviewed this, it’s my first “Tactical” Flashlight. Complements my Grandfather’s 3 Cell Maglight nicely, even if it out shines the old Incandescent bulb
maglite build strong build to? last,
Maglite
why does my xl50? rattle?
How good is the light? at 50FT and 100FT?
R? these waterproof
This flashlight is? awesome. Ive had mine for awhile
Picked one up recently when my 5 year old light finally gave up. It’s compact, really like the strobe and it lights up the inside of my house nicely. I’ve paid more for? less light. And, yes…Made in the USA.
I like my xl50 when i first got it.. now i got a nebo redline and love it more. Though I think? the xl50 has farther range, IMO.
I paid $30 and was dissappointed because when I was screwing the cap back on it felt like those cheap $3 autozone ones that strip the threads easily and it didn’t have the spare bulb storage. It is powerful and it has that bright strobe setting that can blind someone at night but I wouldn’t buy it unless you’re an emergency? responder, It’s MADE IN USA!
Maglite incans were the best, not so sure about LED at 30 bucks it’s good price.
But then you got your? fenix and jetbeam and surefire.. it kind of compares with the led lenser rather then the formr 3.
Also with a little ingenuity, a large pressure switch from a laser will fit into the bottom cap. Almost perfectly, just remove the button from? the bottom cap, run the switch and cord thru the inside of it. Then just screw the cap on and there you go.
Love the? MAG XL series. Perfect size for holding it with your sidearm, not to mention the strobe function can disorient someone in a dark area. I’ve seen it happen.
I swear. Nobody on you tube knows how to spell LOSER! 9? posts down.
You can get 1000 lumens for 30 bucks these days in a flashlight this size… Look into the XML emitter. Mainstream “tactical”? lights are a waste of money.
i thought i? was 144 lumens and 104 meters
haha cool voice?
Actually got one? today on a whim at Wally World LOL I think it’s a great lil flash light!!
Thanks Jester… It’ll definitely come in handy when the dogs? are making a racket!
